Hello, I'm Beth.
I am an Oxford Mathematics graduate and experienced maths tutor, with an exceptional academic record and a particular enthusiasm for helping students achieve strong results in school and examinations.
I studied Mathematics at Balliol College, University of Oxford, achieving a First Class undergraduate degree and Distinction at Master’s level. I specialised in pure mathematics, with particular interests including graph theory, group theory and number theory.
Prior to Oxford, I achieved full marks (600/600 UMS) in A-Level Mathematics, 100% in iGCSE Mathematics, the Highest Mark in Europe for iGCSE Further Mathematics, 12 A*s at iGCSE, 4 A*s at A Level and received a number of awards for both mathematical and academic achievement.

I have tutored Mathematics for 10 years, working with students from Year 7 up to GCSE and A Level, building strong foundations for them to succeed in GCSEs and A Levels and progress to top universities. I have taught at International Maths Summer Schools and written worksheets to accompany maths textbooks.
My approach is highly individual: helping students who currently find maths challenging to build confidence, make meaningful progress and move up through the grades, while also helping high-achieving students consolidate their understanding, refine their exam technique and stretch themselves further.
I aim to identify the areas where a student’s understanding is least secure, explain difficult concepts clearly and precisely, work through many exam style examples and build the confidence needed to tackle unfamiliar problems independently. I have exceptional exam techniques and strategy which helped me achieve 12 A*s (pre the numberic grading system) at GCSE and 4 A*s at A Level. I can offer my exam and revision strategies both for maths but also across the board.
Mathematics is one of the most important subjects for keeping future opportunities open. Strong mathematical foundations can support students across a wide range of subjects and university courses, while developing the logical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills that are valuable well beyond the classroom. Doing well in maths can also be particularly important for students considering competitive university courses and careers in areas such as mathematics, engineering, medicine, economics, finance, computing and the sciences.
Let's help your child succeed together.
